OKWU Men Finished 3rd at MCAC XC Championships

Lawrence, Kan. — Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s team finished third at the MCAC Cross Country Championships, which took place in Lawrence, Kan. on Saturday morning.

Leading runner Derek Ford was the best placed Eagles pacer after finishing third, covering the 8k course in 29:25. Freshman Erasmo Huerta, ran 29:44.55 for 8th place overall, while senior Austin Blain crossed at 29:53.69 for 10th.

Completing the OKWU list of runners at the meeting were Evan Vaught (29:57.27), Kody Dormire (31:36.42) and Jarett Blain (35:41.62).

Oklahoma Wesleyan, as a team, scored 51 points and finished behind Haskell and York College in the team scoring.
