POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – Oklahoma Wesleyan University is ranked fifth in the 2014 MCAC Women’s Volleyball Championship. This is according to the MCAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released Thursday night.
The Lady Eagles, which finished fifth in in the 2013 regular season, ended the term with a 22-10 record, including a 6-5 record in the MCAC.
Defending MCAC regular season and tournament champion Bellevue University has been picked as the favorite to win the 2014 MCAC Women’s Volleyball Championship.
The Bruins compiled a 34-9 overall record in 2013, including an impressive 12-0 MCAC record on their way to winning conference titles.
Elsewhere in the poll, College of the Ozarks earn the No. 2 position in the 2014 preseason league rankings, with Waldorf College starting the preseason third in the conference coaches’ poll.
Rounding out the poll are College of Saint Mary (4th), York College (6th), Haskell Indian Nations University (7th), Central Christian College (8th) and Central Baptist College (9th).
