Bartlesville, OK- After finishing last season 15-5-2, the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles look to bolster their roster with the signing of Ashley Sarmiento.
Sarmiento comes from Mansfield, TX. She is the daughter of Frank and Elda Sarmiento. She attends Mansfield Lake Ridge High School where she will graduate by the end of this spring semester.
The 5’1” attacking midfielder is part of the Solar Chelsea FC Club in TX. Her versatility will be a great addition to the Eagles as they approach the 2014-2015 season.
“Ashley is a great addition to OKWU soccer program and I am extremely happy that she committed to attend Oklahoma Wesleyan University,” head coach Vladan Glavonic said.
“She will be competing for a spot in both center and outside midfield. Ashley is another great addition to our quality freshmen class and I am very excited to see this group grow in the next four years,” added coach Glavonic.
The home opener for Lady Eagles will be on August 23rd at 7pm against Bacone College.
