Bartlesville, OK -The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Women’s Soccer coach Vladan Glavonic confirms the signing of Arcely Ortega.
The 5’4 midfielder, Ortega, is from San Jacinto, CA and will be completing her high school diploma from San Jacinto at the end of this May.
She is the daughter of Mario and Vanessa Ortega.
Aracely was a member of the Pateadores IE club team, and head coach Vladan Glavonic believes she will be a great addition to the Lady Eagles roster.
“Aracely is very gifted player and I am very happy to have the opportunity to have her at Oklahoma Wesleyan University,” Glavonic said.
“We have been tracking her for a while and I am very pleased that she chose to come to Bartlesville,” he added.
Ortega, Coach Glavonic added, is another great addition to Lady Eagles’ 2014 talented incoming recruiting class.
“Aracely is technically very sound and she can play in both midfield and attack and I am expecting an immediate impact from her,” he said.
The OKWU Lady Eagles had a record of 15-5-2 last year and they were MCAC regular season champions. The home opener for Lady Eagles will be on August 23rd at 7pm.
