Oklahoma Wesleyan University continues to be nationally recognized for its quality education.
Earlier this year, Oklahoma Wesleyan University was the only Christian college in Oklahoma to be a named a College of Distinction, and now the University is being recognized again.
For the eleventh year in a row, U.S. News and World Report named Oklahoma Wesleyan in the Top Ten Colleges of the Western Region. “Year after year, OKWU continues to be ranked in the top tier,” says University President Everett Piper. “We are humbled by such recognition and thankful for God’s grace as we continue to stand strong and unapologetic for Christian higher education.”
The Regional Colleges that are ranked are focus on undergraduate education and are divided into four regions—North, South, West, and Midwest. The rankings allow students and parents to compare the quality of colleges based on a several factors, including but not limited to retention and graduation rates. According to U.S. News, Other factors that strongly affect the college experience, such as “the location and feel of campus life, the range of academic offerings, activities and sports, cost, and the availability of financial aid” are considered.
Oklahoma Wesleyan University received high marks in all of the categories and continues to exceed expectations. 2013-2014 is beginning as a record-breaking year for OKWU.
