Oklahoma Wesleyan University recently made headlines for its new Pro-Life Training & Applied Bioethics program. This innovative program, which is in partnership with the Life Training Institute and Care Net, is set to begin in the summer of 2015.

John Stonestreet spoke about President Piper and OKWU on the February 4th edition of BreakPoint which was entitled, “Pro-Life, the Next Generation: Ultrasounds, Apologetics and Academics.” Stonestreet reminded listeners that as believers, we’re not after political points or poll numbers – at the end of the day the fight is about saving precious human lives that were created in the image of God.

“Without the army of committed volunteers on the ground, particularly at pregnancy care centers nationwide that directly love and support women in unplanned pregnancies, there is no movement,” Stonestreet said. “But we do need though leaders too. And that’s why I’m thrilled about a new project being launched by two friends this summer at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Everett Piper – who is the school’s president as well as a Colson Center Centurion – is working with pro-life apologist extraordinaire Scott Klusendorf to launch an applied bioethics major that’s “aimed at equipping professional pro-life advocates for full-time service.”
