Director of Academic Assessment
This position involves designing, implementing, and advancing the work of assessment, i.e. continuous academic improvement, as well as working with our regional accreditor to ensure that OKWU is in compliance with all requirements.
One advancement to be launched includes across-the-board assessments that will gauge our success with all students regardless of their degree as it relates to essential skills like communication, critical thinking, computation, etc. We will also focus on tracking our graduates to measure the amount of success they are achieving once they leave OKWU. These efforts will be combined with the assessment reviews that already occur in specific degree programs.
The results of all of these evaluations will then translate to changes in our academic programs. The Director of Academic Assessment will work closely with faculty and deans to identify and support needed changes.
