Full-Time Professor of Accounting

The Chesapeake Energy School of Business at Oklahoma Wesleyan University is seeking an energetic, highly-motivated, full-time Accounting faculty member starting in Fall 2014. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both traditional and non-traditional formats on the Bartlesville and Tulsa campuses. Some online teaching may be expected as well. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the faculty member is expected to advise traditional undergraduate students, serve on college and departmental committees, pursue scholarly work and/or professional consulting, and other administrative duties as assigned. Those candidates who have a passion to develop academic and co-curricular activities for our accounting students will be given preference.
Supervision Given or Received
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Dean for the School of Business.
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in business and a current professional accounting certification (CPA or CMA) is required. DBA/PhD in Accounting is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience with demonstrated effectiveness in the undergraduate and graduate level is highly preferred.
- Professional experience in the accounting industry is highly preferred.
- Must be a committed Christian who is supportive of the educational mission of the University that includes the integration of faith with teaching and scholarly pursuits.
