The 2011-2012 school year has begun. With it, Oklahoma Wesleyan University is experiencing its third consecutive year of record enrollment.
The OKWU Enrollment staff, led by John Means, Vice President for Student Enrollment Services, has worked tirelessly to achieve the second highest incoming class in the school’s history.
Total enrollment has increased from 1,025 students in 2009 to 1,037 in 2010, and with another record breaking total this year of 1,183.
With each year come more blessings and opportunities to minister to the students in all OKWU schools and programs, from concurrent high school students to those business professionals seeking their MBA.
Not only are students from the United States joining the OKWU family, but international students are connecting also. The Enrollment office lists students from Serbia, England and Ethiopia, just to name a few.
“All together this semester is off to a fantastic start,” said Dr. Everett Piper, OKWU’s President, in regards to this year’s enrollment. With student housing full, beautiful new classroom space in the newly renovated La Quinta Mansion and some cooler temperatures, the students, along with the staff, and faculty are looking forward to another great year ahead.
