What are Preview Weekends?
Preview weekends are early registration and orientation weekends. You have scheduled time to meet with an advisor, to set up your class schedule, finish up paperwork, but most of all meet and start relationships with other new incoming OKWU students and OKWU’s Student Development staff.
Who needs to attend?
All incoming students need to attend one preview weekend to complete registration process. Parents are encouraged to attend. The Saturday seminar will cover what students should expect and how to succeed as a new student at OKWU, what they can and can’t bring to the dorms, and more.
I already have a Class Schedule do I need to attend a Preview Weekend?
Yes, we are excited that you have a schedule! But there are other offices you might not have completed all the required information for. Also the seminar on Saturday covers information that students need, and the opportunity to meet other new students, as well as, our Student Development staff.
I am a local student and I plan to live at home during school year, do I stay on campus during Preview Weekend?
Yes, we want you to stay on campus during the preview weekend even though you will be staying at home during the school year.
