The Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education prepares one for certification for teaching in grades 6 – 12 in Biology. The curriculum meets the standards of the Oklahoma Commission on Teacher Preparation and the Oklahoma State Department of Education and is nationally accredited through NCATE/CAEP. The curriculum includes general education courses, professional education courses, and specialized biology courses. The capstone for this degree is one semester of student teaching in an upper-level classroom under the supervision of a certified teacher.
