To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for providing the scholarship and funds to assist me in my education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. I cannot express in short how much it means to me. You have helped me continue my education this last year. I could not be here with out the help that I have received.
My name is Aaron Gunter. I am from Denver, Colorado where I grew up most of my life. Right now I am a senior at Oklahoma Wesleyan getting ready to graduate. My major is a B.S. in English Bible with a minor in Music. After I graduate I hope to be able to work with children in the church engaging in some sort of Children’s ministry. I also would like to in some way be able to help with worship in a church. I am the eldest in my family with two younger sisters. My youngest sister is a freshman at Oklahoma Wesleyan University this year. In my free time I enjoy hiking in the mountains, camping, swimming, reading, singing, playing the piano and guitar, and hanging out with my friends.
Thank you again for providing the assistance and funds to assist me in my education.
Respectfully,
Aaron Gunter

I am from Castlewood, South Dakota and am currently in my senior year of college. I work as a cashier at Lowe’s Home Improvement, and in my spare time I love reading and playing the piano. I also love spending time with my friends and pretty much everything else about college life.

Dear Generous Donors,
Thank you for providing the Bainbridge Scholarship to assist me in my education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
My name is Chris, and I grew up in Ottawa, Kansas. I came to Oklahoma Wesleyan University in the spring of 2004, and immediately felt right at home. I love to watch movies and listen to music, but my real passion is ministry. I just graduated a week ago with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pastoral Ministry, and I’ve taken a job as a Youth Director at Dewey United Methodist Church. I’m getting married on May 27 to a beautiful woman, and I cannot wait to start our life together.

Dear Ella Mae,
Wow, God is great isn’t he? I just wanted to stop everything I was doing, sit down and tell you how much I have appreciated everything you have allowed God to do in your life to help others including myself!
I plan to excel greatly in everything I do here at OWU. I wish I could explain what it is exactly like here, but it is unexplainable. People here are great! I feel right at home. We have been going through orientation all weekend and have had many great services. I have been talking to a few Business Management majors and they have been pulling me in. At this moment, I am thinking about majoring in Business Management and getting a minor in Photography. That is something to work on right now, but hopefully it will straighten out. Psychology is still of great interest to me and I am enrolled in a psychology class and we will see where the Lord will lead me. Other than the education part of my life, our discipleship here is awesome. It is really cool to walk on campus and know that mostly everyone is here for one reason, which is to serve God. Having this great atmosphere makes it easy for most to profess their love for Jesus Christ.
I know this institute will build a great base for me to prepare myself to face the challenges of the world. The Lord has done great things, and will continue to do so. I just wanted to stop and say thanks. Pray for me, and I will do the same.
Sincerely,
Levi

Dear Generous Donors,
Thank you very, very much for providing me with the Chaparral scholarship to assist me in my education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University this year.
My family recently moved from Olathe, KS to Oklahoma City, OK. I grew up most of my life in Olathe, but I like Oklahoma City. I have four little brothers who could be considered “pets” sometimes, but that is just how it goes. Currently, I am a youth Pastor at Copan New Life Church, in Copan OK. I am studying pastoral ministry with a double major in taking over the world. After college I hope to either continue my ministry with the youth of today or perhaps becoming a pastor of a church. I hope to one day be a fireman and have my own church as the senior pastor. After college I will be going to fireman school to receive training. Here at OWU I play the drums for a lot of praise and worship teams we have here. Music is a very big passion of mine. I am very athletic, and love to stay busy. One of my favorite things to do is drive out to a heavily wooded area and get lost in the woods and spend sometime with God and His creation. I have a very serious girlfriend who is my best friend. We enjoy watching movies, going to museums, and spending time with our friends. In two years, she will be Mrs. McDonald, her name is Melissa Cole, and she is the love of my life.
I have a lot of dreams: becoming a fireman, being a pastor, being a husband, one day a father, so I extend to you from the bottom of my heart, a huge thank you from a student who plans to put his dreams into reality. Your help with this scholarship; will help me in fulfilling my callings and dreams, and for that I am forever indebted to your kindness generosity. Thank you again.

Dear Friend,

I am from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and am a senior this year. My major is Elementary Education, and I am student teaching this semester. I have been having a lot of fun being in the classroom and getting to know my students! It is my hope that next year I will be able to go to graduate school and get my masters in Teaching English as a Second Language. I would like to eventually go out on the mission?s field and work with the street children using my teaching skills.

Dear Foreign Student Scholarship donor,
I want to thank you for providing the scholarship to assist me in my academic and spiritual education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
I came from Mexico with a suitcase full of dreams, goals and a desire to serve the Lord wherever He will take me. I decided to study music education as a major because teaching has been a hobby for me since I was in elementary school. I used to give tutoring for free and help those who struggled to get better grades. I enjoyed it because it encouraged me to learn the subject better for myself so I could help them learn. I also obtained the indescribable satisfaction from the effort they put into learning. Music has always been my passion. Since I was little, I taught myself to play guitar because I never had the opportunity to go to a music school for economical and circumstantial reasons. I used to spend hours with my guitar singing and worshiping God; giving Him my heart and dreams in every sound. I grew up in a Christian home. My parents are pastors, and I have been serving God in the church since I was little, supporting my family in the ministry.
Education is a very important part of life and combined with God’s wisdom it becomes our shield and weapon to survive in the world full of difficulties and obstacles. It gives us a voice in the crowd, where we have the opportunity to share the precious gift of salvation we have received in Jesus Christ.
I want to thank you for being the channel of blessing from God to my life. Thank you for assisting me in my education.
Respectfully,
Ruth Moreno

Dear Peisker Scholarship Donors,
Thanks for providing this scholarship to help me in my education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. As you may well know it is not cheap to attend a college or university these days. Therefore, I really appreciate your support that allows me to attend a university such as Oklahoma Wesleyan to further my education.
My name is Ryan Lee, and I am from Lynnville, Iowa. It is a really small town about 40 miles east of Des Moines. I am a senior this year and I am studying Pastoral Ministry. I will graduate in the spring and even thought I have few options, I haven’t decided what I will do after graduation. I love to go hunting, fishing, playing sports, or work in a shop; it doesn’t really matter as long as I am doing something hands-on. On the other hand I can also sit down on the couch and read a book all day. As long as my mind is engaged in something constructive I am happy.
Thank you again for providing me with this scholarship and assisting me with my education.
Respectfully,
Ryan Lee

I am a senior and major in Pastoral Ministry. My wife Alisa and I moved to Bartlesville from Denver, Colorado in the fall of 2004, so that I could finish my ministry education. I am currently a part time youth pastor in a local United Methodist church, and plan to pursue a full time youth ministry position within the Wesleyan church after graduation this May. In addition to preparing for graduation, we are expecting our first child in February.
Thank you again for providing this scholarship to assist our family in my education.

Dear Education Donors,
Thank you for providing the Education Scholarship at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. These scholarships make it possible for people to attend Oklahoma Wesleyan that would have a difficult time finding the finances of there were not scholarships in place. This scholarship will help as I finish my degree at Oklahoma Wesleyan.
I am a senior Elementary Education major from Colby, Kansas. I was married this past summer and now live in Bartlesville. When I graduate, I hope to find a teaching job in the local community. I know that I cannot change the entire world but my dream is to change as many lives as I can through teaching the students of today. I enjoy spending time with children. I find that children have a very unique sense about life and have an eye opening affect on me.
Thank you again for providing the Education Scholarship to assist me in my education.
Respectfully,
