Academic Scholarships
Academic scholarships range from $1500 to $5,500 annually and are renewable. The tables below will assist you in determining your scholarship level. For incoming freshmen, add the appropriate point values for cumulative high school GPA and your SAT/ACT score. For transfers, double the point value of your cumulative college GPA only.
| Cumulative GPA | New SAT/ACT Score | Points Based Award Amounts |
|---|---|---|
| 3.3 – 1 Point | 1530/22 – 1 Point | 1 Point – $1500 |

| 3.9 – 7 Points | 1860/28 – 7 Points | 14-16 Points – $5,500 |
| 4.0 – 8 Points | 1920/29 or better – 8 Points |
For returning OKWU students, scholarship amounts do not decrease from year-to-year as long as they maintain the minimum cumulative GPA. Students receiving awards ranging from $1500 – $3500 must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3. Those receiving awards ranging from $4000 – $5500 must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5.
At the end of the academic year, double the point value of your cumulative college GPA to determine any possible increase of award. If when doubled, the point value achieves a higher scholarship level, that amount will be awarded the following year.
