Mission & Passion
My mission is to stabilize and enhance the status of Christian education in our secular culture. We have fallen far from a time when schooling was the responsibility of parents and churches. America is suffering from an educational system devoid of God. When you remove God from any organization or education, something must replace Him—and the secular influence that has filled that void is leaving our young people constantly lacking, craving, and seeking truth beyond themselves.
The artist Plumb addresses this lacking in the song, “God-shaped hole,”
“There’s a God-shaped hole in all of us
And the restless soul is searching
There’s a God-shaped hole in all of us
And it’s a void only he can fill”
The ultimate purpose of all education is to know God. Proverbs 1:7 says that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.
God is the Source of all truth and Creator of all things. As educators, we have an obligation to our students to present all of the knowledge of the world through the truth of Christ. “Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders” Psalm 119:27. Only when we know God’s character and His word can we truly consider ourselves “enlightened.” Students should be taught to apply a Biblical worldview to all subjects, thinking critically and communicating Christ’s truth effectively.
When a generation of Christians is raised up to be effective communicators for the truth of Christ, we will win the battle against un-truth, misdirection, and ultimately, darkness and evil itself.
