Mission & Purpose
I believe nurses are called and richly blessed. I feel that nurses should be optimistic, focused and kind…there are enough Nurse Ratchets in the world! I feel strongly that nurses should pray for their patients and always be mindful that a patient’s hope can be squelched by a thoughtless comment or elevated by carefully chosen words. We touch our patients with the healing hands of Christ. We are empowered to critically think because we have the mind of Christ. We can effectively witness because we are the light of Christ.
Nurses are tough, strong and balanced. Nurses are called, blessed and empowered. OKWU nurses are the hands, mind and light of Christ.
