Austin Poling To Be An Eagle 2019-20

Coach Donnie Bostwick and the OKWU Men’s Basketball team would like to welcome Austin Poling to the Oklahoma Wesleyan family for the 2019-20 season. Poling is a 6’0 guard graduating from Nolan Catholic High School out of Fort Worth, Texas. Some of Austin’s individual awards that he has collected during his tenure at Nolan Catholic include:

  • All District Honorable Mention 2018
  • Viking New Comer of the Year 2018
  • 1st Team All Tournament Allen 2018
  • Team All Tournament Jesuit 2018
Poling also contributed to the success of the Nolan Catholic Vikings team as some of their highlights include:
  • *Top 10 in the state the past two seasons.
  • *#1 in District
  • *1st place in points allowed 33.5

When asked about Poling, Coach Bostwick mentioned that “Austin is a lot like Jake Feikert. He can flat shoot it, but he does so many little things well that he impacts games. I guarantee he is one of the leaders in the DFW uncharged taken and he plays on a very good team. Well coached. He is a winner and is a good addition to our program!” We look forward to seeing Austin on campus and in an Eagle uniform this coming fall!
