BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Oklahoma Wesleyan volleyball came away victorious on Wednesday night after sweeping Bethel College by a 3-0.
The Lady Eagles used a balanced attack to win by scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-18 over the Threshers.
Freshman Kenadee Valdez led the way with 12 kills on 17 attempts, which was good for a 0.529 hitting percentage. Chloe Davis added 10 kills to her stat sheet and also recorded six digs. Emily Hollingsworth and Stephanie Lindsey each recorded seven kills in the match to round out the hitting attack for Oklahoma Wesleyan.
Sydney Garis was remarkable yet again from the setter position as she finished with 33 assists on the night. Andrea Novakovic finished with 18 digs from the libero spot and also added two service aces.
As a team, the Lady Eagles put down 41 kills on 83 attempts and totaled eight blocks in the match.
Oklahoma Wesleyan will return to the court on Friday, September 17th when they travel to Lindsborg, KS to face Bethany College. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
