BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s basketball suffered a 62-44 home loss to Bethany College on Wednesday evening.
The Lady Eagles had their lowest overall shooting performance of the season, as they shot just 24 percent from the field.
Danae Goodwin led Oklahoma Wesleyan in scoring with nine points, all of those coming in the first half. Tiffany Reiger recorded eight points and went 2-for-5 from behind the three-point line. Mary Hutchins compiled 10 rebounds, while Sarah Short added four rebounds and six points.
Oklahoma Wesleyan went 14-for-59 (24%) from the field and 5-for-18 (28%) from behind the three-point line. They converted on 11-of-12 free throw attempts but were forced into 13 turnovers.
Samirah Miller led Bethany in scoring with a game-high 16 points.
Oklahoma Wesleyan will travel to Hillsboro, Kansas, for their next game on February 10th against Tabor College. Tip-off against the Bluejays is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
