Cronin & Sojka Named To NAIA Preseason Baseball All-America Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tyson Cronin (SP) and Austin Sojka (3B) of Oklahoma Wesleyan were named to the 2019 NAIA Preseason Baseball All-America team, the national office announced Wednesday. The 17-player list is selected annually by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Committee.

Cronin started in 13 games (81.2 innings pitched) last year and went 10-1 with an era of 1.21 and 71 strikeouts. As a hitter, Cronin finished the year as hitter as well with a .404 batting average, 12 RBIs and 1 home run while appearing in 37 games.

Sojka finished his 2018  Junior campaign with a .391 batting average, 61 RBIs, 12 HR and 7 SB. He also notched 8 triples and 21 doubles starting in 60 games last year.

The Eagles will kick off their season this year on February 1st traveling to Lyon College as the look to bounce back from where they left off last year and make another deep run in the playoffs to the World Series.
