Bartlesville, Okla. — Devin Harris scored Oklahoma Wesleyan’s go ahead bucket with 2:04 left and then the team resisted an intense rally by No. 19 Bellevue University to come away with a battling 74-68 victory in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference clash here at the Mueller Center on Friday night.
Both teams traded buckets throughout the first half before Bellevue took a 34-31 edge at halftime.
However, Devin Harris came alive to score 13 points in the second period to pace the home team with a game high 22 points to go along with his six rebounds as the Eagles took the victory and extended its win streak to nine games.
Tyler Woods shot 50-percent from the field on 5-of-10 for 13 points, while Phil Jahn also added 13 points and six rebounds for the Eagles, who improved to 10-2 on the season and moved to the top of the MCAC.
The every working Brian James contributed eight valuable rebounds and seven points, while Shawn Seymour hit all three of this three-pointers to add nine points in the win for Oklahoma Wesleyan.
Everett Robinson led the Bellevue with 18 points and five rebounds. Shawn Tarver finished with 13 points and eight boards in the defeat.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday against Crowley’s Ridge at 5:00 p.m.
