POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan University men’s basketball program has been picked as the favorite to win the 2013-14 MCAC Championship, this according to the Preseason Coaches’ Poll released Thursday.

The Eagles, who finished third in the MCAC regular season standings a year ago, posted a 21-10 overall record in 2012-13 (11-5 MCAC), falling the MCAC South Tournament final to College of the Ozarks.

Bellevue University and York College—the 2012-13 MCAC Regular Season Co-Champions—tied for second in the 2013-14 preseason poll.  The Bruins finished with a 24-11 overall record (12-4) last season, while York posted a 24-9 record (12-4 MCAC).  Both teams advanced to the second round of the NAIA Division II National Tournament.

Rounding out the rankings are Waldorf College (4th), College of the Ozarks (5th), Central Christian College (6th), Haskell Indian Nations University (7th) and Central Baptist College (8th).
