The Eagles stayed home this past weekend to take on the Tabor Bluejays here at the MSC. From the tip-off, the Eagles jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They held the Tabor Bluejays to just 29% from the field in the first half with a lights out performance from senior guard KJ Malveau with 13 points. The Eagle’s bench also came up big throughout the game as they accounted for 52 of their 99 total points compared to Tabor’s 21.
KJ ended the game with 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Senior center Josh Wilchombe dominated the paint once again, collecting another double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks defensively. Freshman forward Brooks Haddock came off the bench shooting light out and ended the game with 15 points and adding 3 rebounds to his performance.
After this dominant performance where 14 different Eagles scored, they now have an overall record of 24-1 and stay #1 in the KCAC with an 18-1 record. The Eagles have a well-deserved week off then will take on Avila on the road Saturday February, 2.
