BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Former Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball pitcher Zach Johnson has signed a professional baseball contract with the River City Rascals after going 11-1 with 89 strikeouts as a senior for the Eagles.
The left-hander from Kirkland, Washington posted a 3.97 ERA in 104 innings of work. He was named to the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference First-Team and ranked 8th in the NAIA in Total Wins (11).
“We are so excited for the opportunity Zach has to continue playing,” Head Coach Matt Parker said. “He represented OKWU Baseball well while he was here, and we know that he will continue to represent us well in professional baseball. Zach has worked very hard to get this opportunity and I look forward to watching him continue to play.”
