The KCAC Unveils New Conference Logo

WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) is pleased to unveil a new logo that will be implemented for the 2016-17 academic year. KCAC Commissioner Dr. Scott Crawford announced the new logo to be phased in this summer and throughout the coming school year in the KCAC with its member schools.

The new logo was designed by Mary Hetherington, a Friends University alum, giving the KCAC a fresh new look for the first time in seven years. The conference recently increased to 12 institutions when it added Oklahoma Wesleyan University and York College to the lineup.  Accordingly, the ten stars from the previous logo have been removed. The KCAC letters from the previous conference logo remain very prominent in the new logo as does the 1890 year recognition of the conference’s inception.

“I am very appreciative of our membership supporting the conference to move forward with this new logo after expanding to 12 member institutions,” stated Crawford.  “Our new logo maintains legacy features from our previous logo while allowing member schools to do more with co-branding including the placement of the conference logo on game uniforms and social media graphics.”

Along with the new logo, the KCAC will allow member institutions to customize the new KCAC logo using institutional colors, which is outlined in the Conference Style Guide.
