SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s soccer team responded from their first loss of the season on Thursday by shutting out Our Lady of the Lake University 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
OKWU carried a 3-0 lead over the Saints into halftime and would add some insurance in the second half to secure the 4-0 victory.
Taylor Gross led the Lady Eagles with two goals in the game on four shot attempts. Aracely Ortega and Marjolen Nekesa added the other two goals for (RV) Oklahoma Wesleyan. Kaja Cremin continued to produce on the pitch as she recorded two assists and also had two shots on goal.
Sydney Vickers started in as the goalie and was dominant. Vickers collected seven saves leading to her third clean sheet of the season.
Oklahoma Wesleyan will return home for their next game as they host Oklahoma City University on Wednesday, September 13th. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM at the OKWU Soccer Complex.
