Lady Eagles Win Five-Set Thriller Over Tabor

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan volleyball team continued their stellar play after defeating Tabor College in five sets inside the Mueller Sports Center.

After falling behind 2-1, the Lady Eagles rallied in the final two sets to take the 3-2 victory over the Bluejays. This win marks two-straight victories over the top two teams in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Senior Chloe Davis and Emily Hollingsworth led the way for Oklahoma Wesleyan. The duo combined for 29 kills while Davis added 15 digs and Hollingsworth recorded three block assists. Kenadeee Valdez continued to produce from her middle hitting position as she compiled nine kills and also had five block assists. Stephanie Lindsey and Kinzee Goodno each finished with 7 and 6 kills respectively to round out the OKWU attack.

Defensively, Andrea Novakovic showed why she’s been the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week three times this season as she had another outstanding performance. The senior libero recorded 39 digs and also set the ball for five assists. Shanaye Nordic added 18 digs from her defensive specialist position.
