The OKWU Men’s golf team are off to a great start after competing in their first two tournaments of the year. The first was at the UC Ferguson Classic played at Lincoln Park Golf course in Oklahoma City, the Eagles had a week of ups and downs. After finishing the first round with a total team score of 300, including rounds of 71 by Jack Pritchard and 75 from Andrew Lehman and Chase Gafner, it looked like it would be a long week as they began the week in 11th place out of 14 team. But the team showed grit and determination as they came back and shot a solid round of 288 with scores of 70 from Andrew Lehman and 71 from Jack Pritchard. This moved the Oklahoma Wesleyan Men’s golf team into a tie for 9thplace heading into the final round. After getting off to a rocky start the first two rounds, the men’s team came to play in the final round shooting one of the best rounds of the day with a 3 under, 281. This score was backed by a wonderful 68 from freshman Nic Rankin, and solid round of 69 from Jack Pritchard.
