OKWU Ranked in Top Spot of 2019 KCAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll

 

WICHITA, Kan. – Oklahoma Wesleyan has been selected the top men’s soccer program within the KCAC this preseason by the conference coaches.

The Eagles finished the 2018 season with a 19-3 overall record and an 11-1 conference record. Oklahoma Wesleyan earned a bid to the NAIA Soccer Championship tournament, defeating Morningside College, 5-2, in the opening round. The Eagles would then defeat Corban University (2-1) before falling to Madonna University 0-1 in the quarterfinals.

Oklahoma Wesleyan collected 10 first place votes and total of 142 votes for the top spot over the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes, who earned 134 points and the final three first place votes. McPherson College was selected third with 106 points, while Friends University was selected to finish fourth with 83 points.
