OKWU Volleyball Falls To Oklahoma Panhandle State

Bartlesville, Okla. – The Lady Eagles of Oklahoma Wesleyan fell to Oklahoma Panhandle State in the second home game of the season 21-25, 25-27, and 13-25.

The Eagles’ offense was led by junior Laine Alves with 12 kills and freshman Taylor Voight with 6 kills. Juniors Karlye Wagner and Kenadee Valdez along with freshman Gabi Moore each had 2 kills. Wagner and Valdez had 1 solo block apiece. Katie Flack led the defense with 11 digs and Bobana Marusic had 10 digs. Elli Matos-Torres and Ashley Cook contributed to both defense and offense. Cook had 10 assists and 7 digs, Matos-Torres had 9 assists and 4 digs.

The OKWU Eagles are now 2-4 in pre-season play and will host a tri-match on Saturday, September 7th, vs. Lyon College at 11am and vs. Dallas Christian College at 3pm.
