BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s soccer captured their fourth win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Oklahoma City University.
The Lady Eagles used two second half goals to seal the win over the Stars.
Three different players were responsible for the goals for Oklahoma Wesleyan. Freshman Marjolen Nekesa opened the game with a goal in the fourth minute on an assist from Kenzie Nichols. Taylor Gross and Aracely Ortega recorded the other two goals for the Lady Eagles. Sydney Vickers played all 90 minutes from her goalie position and compiled two saves.
As a team, OKWU put up a total of 16 shots in the match with 10 of those on target. They are now 4-1-0 on the 2017 season.
Oklahoma Wesleyan will travel to Chickasha, Okla. for their next match against the University of Science and Arts on Saturday, September 16th. Kick-off against the Drovers is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
