Track and Field Competes at KCAC Indoor Championships; Gabler Finishes 2nd in 800 Meter Run

PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan track and field teams competed at the KCAC Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Leah Gabler was the top finisher for the Eagles at the event. She finished in second place in the Women’s 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:23.73. Kari Blattner from Southwestern College won the event with a time of 2:21.66.

Christian Nix was one of the top finishers on the men’s side for Oklahoma Wesleyan. Nix competed in High Jump event and earned a ninth-place after clearing 1.73 Meters.

Ben Staggs competed in multiple events with his top finish coming in the Men’s 400 Meter Dash. He finished with a time of 52.54 and crossed the line in 18th place out of 30 runners.

Myles Gladen earned a 16th place finish in the Men’s 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:20.03, and also competed in the Mile Run where he finished in 20th place with a time of 5:16.95.

Reagan Terral earned a 17th place finish in the Mile Run with a time of 5:06.99.

Oklahoma Wesleyan will now make their way outside to start up for the spring season. They will travel to Oklahoma City, OK on March 15th and compete in the Southwestern Christian Invitational.
