Volleyball Ends Season After Dropping Two of Three Matches at KCAC Tournament

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan volleyball team saw their season come to an end this weekend after dropping two of three matches at the KCAC Tournament.

The Lady Eagles needed to finish in the top two of their pool to advance to the next round, but were unable to do so. They opened the tournament with a heartbreaking loss against No. 1 Ottawa in five sets (19-25, 23-25, 28-26, 25-13, 9-15).

In their second match, Oklahoma Wesleyan was unable to rebound from their loss and dropped a 3-0 decision to McPherson College.

OKWU won their final match of pool play against Bethany College, but it was not enough to advance to the next round. Ottawa and McPherson would advance from Pool A into the Semifinals.

Oklahoma Wesleyan finished their 2017 season with a 20-13 overall record and 15-7 in conference play. They had five student-athletes receive all-conference recognition and also broke many school records along the way.
