SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan Volleyball team went 2-2 at the Evangel University Invitational this past weekend.
The Lady Eagles defeated Peru State (Neb.) 3-2 and St. Louis College of Pharmacy 3-1 but fell to Evangel (Mo.) 3-1 and College of the Ozarks (Mo.) 3-0. After the four matches, Oklahoma Wesleyan now sees their record go to 5-5 on the season.
Chloe Davis led the Lady Eagles attack from her outside hitter position. Davis compiled 53 kills over the four matches and also added 43 digs. Freshman Kenadee Valdez finished with 43 kills, while Emily Hollingsworth added 42 kills at the attack line.
From the setter position, Sydney Garis was able to collect 148 assists over the four-match stretch. Garis is now fourth in the KCAC in Assists per Set with 7.2.
Andrea Novakovic continued to anchor the defense from her libero position as capped off the Invitational with 100 digs. She is the current leader in the KCAC with 6.3 Digs per Set.

Oklahoma Wesleyan will return home for their next match when they host Bethel College on Wednesday, September 13th. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 PM inside the Mueller Sports Center.
