BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s basketball team defended home court and picked up a 56-40 win over Ottawa University.
In a low scoring game, the Lady Eagles forced Ottawa to shoot just 24% from the field in the victory.
Tiffany Rieger led Oklahoma Wesleyan in scoring with 19 points on 7-of-12 from the field and went 4-for-6 from behind the three-point line. Rieger also added two rebounds, a block, an assist, and a steal to her stat sheet. Cheyenne Been finished with nine points and five assists, while Danae Goodwin added seven points and a team-high eight rebounds. Karena Karges came off the bench and picked up seven rebounds in her 15 minutes of action.
Oklahoma Wesleyan shot 38%(21/55) from the field and 33%(7/21) from behind the arc. They outrebounded the Braves 37 to 30 on the boards and recorded a total of 14 assists as a team.
Jenna Kramer led Ottawa in scoring with seven points.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Winfield, Kansas, on Saturday, February 3rd, and face Southwestern College. Tip-off against the Moundbuilders is scheduled for 1:00pm inside Stewart Field House.
