OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s golf team opened their 2017 Fall season with a 4th place finish at the Southwestern Christian Invitational in Oklahoma City.
Teeing off at the Lake Hefner Golf Course, the Lady Eagles shot a total score of 334 in Round 1 and 336 in Round 2. Combining the two scores, Oklahoma Wesleyan finished the tournament with a score of 670 placing them just behind Kansas Wesleyan University (650).
Individually, Jordan Leonard was the highest individual finisher for Oklahoma Wesleyan in 8th place. She finished at +17 over par for a combined two-round score of 161. Kaylee Hacker finished in 10th place overall with a total score of 164 (+20). Korena Aills rounded out the top placers for Oklahoma Wesleyan, as she compiled a score of 166 finishing in 13th place.
Oklahoma Wesleyan will travel to Lawrence, KS for their next tournament on Monday, September 11th. They’ll compete in the Ottawa Invitational which is scheduled to take place at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence.
