Women’s Golf Places 2nd at the Ottawa Invitational; Korena Aills Wins Individual Title

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s golf team earned another top three finish this season after finishing second at the Ottawa Invitational at Eagle Bend Golf Course.

The Lady Eagles compiled a team score of 336 in the first round and 330 in the second round for a combined score of 666 (+90). They finished just 11 shots back of Kansas Wesleyan University, who tallied a team score of 655 (+79).

Team Standings

Korena Aills earned the individual title after finishing 12-over par for a combined two-round score of 156. Jordan Leonard finished in third place at 17-over par and a combined two-round score of 161. Kaylee Hacker also earned a top 10 finish as she came in seventh place with a total score of 165 (+21).

Oklahoma Wesleyan will return to the course on March 19th when they complete in the first of two KCAC Tournaments at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, KS.
