Head Coach Mark Molder

Entering his 10th season, and third at the helm of Oklahoma Wesleyan University men’s basketball program, Mark Molder is looking to build upon the season of a year ago that bolstered a young line up including eight freshmen seeing considerable minutes.

During Molder’s nine years at OKWU as an assistant and head coach OKWU has won a National Championship, made two final fours, three elite eights, four sweet sixteen’s, and made six national tournament appearances (4 with the men’s program, and 2 with the women’s program).  For his accomplishments he has been named Central Region Coach of the Year twice (2011-12, 2012-13), and conference coach of the year once (2012-13).

Molder’s teams are known for their faced paced offense and tough-minded defense.  It is a common trend to find OKWU’s men’s basketball ranked nationally in scoring, three point shooting, rebounding, and various defensive statistics.

Molder has coached three national players of the year, six NAIA All-Americans and numerous all conference players during his time at Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Molder is a native of Pryor, OK. and a graduate of Pryor High School.  Molder attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University earning a degree in Exercise Science, and later a Masters in Business Administration. As a student athlete at OKWU he was a four-year letter man for the basketball program.  Molder and his wife, Kandi, met during their time at OKWU, and currently reside in Bartlesville, OK with their sons, Grant and Cameron.
