In the first regular-season edition, the Eagles of Oklahoma Wesleyan claim their first-ever No. 1 ranking in the NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. With 11 first-place votes, Oklahoma Wesleyan moves up from No. 6 in the preseason installment on Aug. 16.

In their first game following the ranking, the Eagles defended it, with fifth shutout victory of the season in a 3-0 win over #23 Southwestern Christian. With the win, #1 Oklahoma Wesleyan is now 5-0-1 on the 2016 season.

The Eagles will open up conference play today, Wednesday, September 28th, as they host York College. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30pm on the pitch of the OKWU Soccer Complex.
