Oklahoma Wesleyan University is pleased to welcome Dr. Gentry Sutton to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs role. Dr. Sutton has been an integral member of the OKWU leadership team, serving as the Dean of Arts and Sciences since 2015.

Dr. Sutton has both a Bachelor’s and Master degrees in English, along with a Doctor of Educational Ministry. He has spent his professional career in higher education, beginning at Thomas Edison State College and then Sterling College, before joining the OKWU team.

Following Dr. Sutton’s move to Provost, Dr. Dalene Fisher was appointed as the Dean of Arts & Sciences. Dr. Fisher, an OKWU undergraduate alumna, earned her Master of Arts from Union Institute and University, and a PhD in English from the University of Kent, Canturbury, U.K. Prior to becoming Dean of Arts & Sciences, Dr. Fisher served as an Associate Professor of English at OKWU.
