The Oklahoma Wesleyan Family is saddened to learn of the passing of long-time Foundation Board member, Dan Keating.
“Dan was a loyal friend to Oklahoma Wesleyan University,” said OKWU President, Dr. Everett Piper. “No one championed our cause with greater pride or waved the banner of OKWU higher in the public square than Dan Keating.
Dan was also a personal friend. He was gracious, encouraging, and modeled dignity and class, even in moments of disagreement. Dan was a true gentlemen.”
Dan served on the board of Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Foundation for a number of years and was known as an encourager and voice of experience.
“Dan was a vitally important member of the Oklahoma Wesleyan Foundation Board,” said Foundation Executive Director, David Preston.  “He brought broad experience, keen insight, and a great sense of humor to our meetings and discussions. He was a great friend and a dedicated follower of Christ.  We will miss him terribly.”
While the University is grieving this loss today, we rejoice in the knowledge of Dan’s faith and heaven’s gain.
