Anna Mangimela

Professor Anna Mangimela graduated from OKWU’s first 4-year undergraduate BSN class in May 2008. After working in a 36-bed adult ICU in Tulsa, Anna spent seven years overseas working with different organization on projects which included helping start a hospice, providing education to Chinese nurses and medical residents, assisting in an HIV clinic, building relationships between schools to create a nursing student exchange program, creating a project to help families whose children have cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus, community outreaches, and working as a clinical instructor for American nursing students in Zambia.  While living in Zambia, Anna completed her Masters of Nursing in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. Upon returning to the United States, Anna returned to the bedside on a busy Medical-Surgical floor and has since obtained her national Medical-Surgical Certification.  In 2018, Anna was recognized as one of Oklahoma’s Top Great 100 Nurses.
