Mission & Passion
I believe everyone has a story, a story worth being told. Our stories often reveal our beliefs, our needs, and our values. I am passionate about guiding our students through the process of discovering their own story and modeling relationships as an authentic individual.
The Bible luxuriates narratives as a bridge for humanity to cross into a faithful relationship with Jesus Christ and his Father. In this world, with its troubles and uncertainties, this bridge to peace on earth is a treasure to be uncovered. Whether walking along the sidewalks at OKWU, teaching in the classroom, or one-on-one coaching in my office, the mission is the same – to tell the story of God’s great love for humankind.
My career evidences my love of story. From narrative coaching to writing stories for children of divorce, I believe stories are compelling and can change a person’s life.
And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.” Luke 24:27, Jesus walking along the road to Emmaus
“Thirst was made for water; inquiry for truth.” C.S. Lewis
“So take seriously the story that God has given you to live. It’s time to read your own life, because your story is the one that could set us all ablaze.” Dan B. Allender
