Function of Job

This position requires technical training and/or knowledge of the maintenance and administration of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, specifically Salesforce. Experience in higher education is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates should have an understanding of admissions practices, policies, and procedures as well as an eye for optimization and automation. Qualified candidates should have experience with project management, working interdepartmentally, and experience facilitating technological innovation/change.

 

Supervision Given/Received

 

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology.  Performance reviews are given on an as-needed basis.

 

This position may include supervision of Student Workers (Work-Study students). Previous management of student workers or the equivalent is preferred but not required.

 

To be successful in this position, applicants will demonstrate a sense of ownership of the CRM, and in doing so demonstrate the value and power of the system. Goals might include: building processes to increase system automation and decrease manual data entry, building processes to ensure prospective students are cared for in a manner that adheres to OKWU’s mission, and/or building processes to ensure that the data that is housed within the CRM is as accurate as possible in order to ensure that all stakeholders have the information they need when they need it.

 

Examples of work performed

 

  • Monitor the CRM for duplicate records and merge or delete duplicate records
  • Assist the Office of Admissions in training staff and other stakeholders on the functionality within Salesforce/TargetX
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures and best practices within Salesforce/TargetX
  • Work with Student Services to ensure a seamless onboarding for new students
  • Work with the Office of Admissions to create and maintain communication plans within Salesforce/TargetX
  • Work with stakeholders to build reports
  • Perform regular and routine updates to Salesforce/TargetX
  • Other duties as assigned
