Executive Assistant to the President Job Function:

This position serves as the administrative assistant to the President of the university. This role is responsible for the Office of the President including the President’s initiatives along with the administrative support to enhance the President’s schedule, appointments, communication, university relations, church relations, university events, and workload to advance the university on the President’s behalf. This role requires a detailed, innovative, and tactical thinker that can apply analytical, technical skills, and knowledge to all aspects of assisting the President’s portfolio of responsibilities. The Executive Assistant to the President will effectively communicate with internal and external constituencies to advance the mission of the university. The Executive Assistant must have a high level of interpersonal skills, professional and personal confidentiality, good judgment, common sense, wisdom, technology skills, emotional intelligence, and Christian humility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership in all areas of the President’s Office including (but not limited to) communication, scheduling, event management, university advancement, President’s Cabinet relations, Board of Trustee relations, President’s Advisory Group relations, faculty relations, staff relations, church relations, donor relations, student relations, parent relations, alumni relations, community relations, media relations, university reporting, budget management, as well as legal and corporate records management.

2. Directly supervise the President’s Office and all support staff relating to the President’s Office.

3. Advise and assist the President and other university leaders on operational and communication matters.

4. Coordinate the President’s university meetings and events including the record and minutes keeping of the President’s Cabinet.

5. Coordinate the events, communication, materials, and record the minutes for all University Board of Trustees meetings, President’s Advisory Group Meetings, President’s Council Meetings, Coffee with the President Meetings, and assist with all other initiatives planned by the Office of the President.

6. Coordinate the events and communication for all University Advancement meetings and initiatives.

7. Coordinate the events and communication for all the President’s University operational meetings and initiatives.

8. Communicate with, coordinate, and provide hospitality for all guests of the Office of the President.

9. Coordinate the President’s travel and off-campus meetings schedule.

10. Oversee the operational budget and fiscal record keeping of the President’s and Advancement Offices.

11. Act as a key partner and counsel in all planning related to the President’s and Advancement Offices.

12. Review and record all contracts related to the President’s and Advancement Offices.

13. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, subordinates, other university departments, board members, advisory group members, alumni, donors, pastors, friends, and the public.

14. Develop and maintain a high level of professional competency by adhering to and fostering standards of excellence in ethical conduct, confidentiality, self-directed professional development, continuous professional contacts with colleagues, and attending professional development courses.

15. Contribute to the overall success of the University by performing other duties as assigned by the President.
