The Presidential Leadership Scholarship (PLS) offered to OKWU’s incoming residential students is a program to encourage the best of the best in our freshmen. “PLS is designed to recognize and invest in students who embody the Four Pillars of OKWU,” said Associate Vice President of Student Development, Ben Rotz. “We’re looking for those who are committed to biblical truth and cultural engagement; students who can continue to help shape and mold the OKWU community and beyond for Christ and the Kingdom.”

The 2018 Cohort included students with strong academic and leadership skills as well as a passion for campus and community involvement. Sarah, Ben, Chase, Anna, Kaz, Javier, Alyssa, Katelynn, Summer, and Taylor are leading by Christ’s example in the classroom, the playing field, and the OKWU community by serving at events and as campus ambassadors. They represent the OKWU mission with excellence, and we’re excited to welcome the 2019 cohort of nine more freshman to grow their impact! “The PLS scholarship has helped me to build relationships and refine my leadership skills,” shared Javier Rubio. “I’m excited to impact the culture of OKWU and help build a Christ-like community on campus.”
