Do you love exercise science?

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science has two different degree plans: a Pre-Therapy option, and a Clinical Fitness Program Management option. Both degree plans require Exercise Science courses, but it depends on the degree plan whether or not supporting courses focus on higher level math and science courses, finance and marketing, or some psychology courses.

There are lots of job opportunities for exercise science majors, such as:

  • Exercise physiologists (median salary $50K)
Physiologists develop fitness and exercise programs that help patients recover from chronic diseases and improve cardiovascular function, body composition, and flexibility.
  • Fitness trainers (median salary $40K)
Trainers lead, instruct, and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular exercises (exercises for the heart and blood circulation), strength training, and stretching.
  • Physical Therapists (median salary $60K)
Physical Therapists assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
