Sports Management

Education for an expanding world.

OKWU’s Bachelor of Science in Sports Management is designed to prepare students for careers in one of the most rapidly expanding industries in the country. There is more to sports than an athlete’s performance on game day; there is essential behind-the-scenes work that helps them get there – and that’s where Sports Management comes in.

This program is a great fit for students interested in the administrative processes of planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating, reporting, and evaluating in the sports industry. Students graduate ready for a fast-paced and competitive job arena, with practical knowledge and experience in the field. Our graduates have job opportunities in the fields of sports management, sports promotion, and public relations.

Taught by the Best. At Oklahoma Wesleyan, our students study under seasoned business professionals with proven expertise in their field, who are committed to integrating real-world experience with classroom curriculum. In addition, Eagles participate in internships with the most vibrant companies in our area, graduating with proven experience and connections in the field.

Why OKWU?

We desire to instill in our graduates not only a technical mastery of the skills they will need in their chosen fields but to integrate within that knowledge a firm foundation of Christian belief. Graduates are prepared to display poise, confidence, and integrity in their chosen field as effective witnesses for Christ in a significant national job market.

Sports Management majors will have the chance to explore all areas of business – marketing, leadership, finance, and public relations – and are taught to connect these disciplines to the science and promotion of sports through a unique, challenging curriculum.
