Andrew Murphy is entering his second season as an assistant coach at OKWU.  Prior to Oklahoma Wesleyan, Murphy spent 4 seasons at Henderson State University, a Division II university located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  While at Henderson State, Murphy coached the infielders, assisted the hitters, as well as recruiting.  In 2016 Murphy oversaw an infield that posted a .975 fielding percentage.  Murphy also helped Henderson State reach their first ever Division II World Series in 2015 finishing in the semifinal game. Henderson State finished the 2015 regular season ranked 12th in the country, the highest ranking in program history.

Murphy coached summer baseball from 2015-2018 with the Derby Twins, the Palm Springs Power, and the Medicine Hat Mavericks from 2017-2018 in the Western Canadian Baseball League. In 2018 Murphy was the head coach of the Mavericks, winning the league with a 47-14 record and ranked the 11th best team in all of collegiate summer baseball, while also being named the coach of the year for the league.

Coach Murphy played 4 years at Oklahoma Wesleyan University (2010-2014) and helped the Eagles to their first NAIA World Series appearance in school history in 2014 finishing the season 58-8. In 2019 Murphy will be the recruiting coordinator while leading the Eagle offense.
