Head Coach Ivan Ristic

Ivan Ristic from Belgrade, Serbia, is starting his first year as the head coach of the OKWU Women’s Soccer Team. Before that he was an assistant for three years.

In his three years with Lady Eagles, Ivan was a part of the 2017 team that won the KCAC Regular Season Conference title, along with the Conference Tournament. The Lady Eagles also advanced to the NAIA National Tournament that year finishing the season with a record of 20-2-1.

Before coming to OKWU, Ivan played soccer in Serbia for fifteen years. He also played 4 years for Oklahoma Wesleyan where he helped the men’s soccer program advance to four NAIA National Tournament appearances. During his career as an Eagle student-athlete, the men’s team won three regular-season conference championships and two conference tournaments. Ristic was named NAIA All-American 2ndteam (2014) and NAIA All-American 3rd team (2013), Defensive Player of the Conference (2013, 2014), Newcomer of the Year (2012), Regional Player of the Year (2013, 2014), All-Conference first team (2012, 2013, 2014) and OKWU Student Athlete of the year (2015).

In 2013 Ivan played PDL semi-professional league for Vermont Voltage. Ivan has a degree in Financial Economics and his MBA both from OKWU.

He is a holder of USSF National C Coaching License and currently working towards his USSF B Coaching License.
