A Week of Worship, Witness, and Global Connection

Why GO Week Matters for OKWU Students

Each fall, Oklahoma Wesleyan University pauses to reflect on the global mission of the Church through GO Week—a time to grow in cultural awareness, deepen spiritual formation, and live out Christ’s call to make disciples. Rooted in Matthew 28:19, GO Week reminds the OKWU community that faith is not meant to stay still. It moves, reaches, and transforms lives around the world.

Highlights From GO Week 2025: Worship, Nations, and Baptisms

GO Week 2025 brought that mission to life. The Parade of Nations Chapel opened the week with students representing 39 countries, celebrating the beauty of diversity within the body of Christ.

Workshops led by Jenn Petersen, President of World Hope International, encouraged students to see leadership and service through a global lens. The week’s defining moment came during Wednesday’s Baptism Chapel, when 15 students were baptized—11 of them spontaneously—marking a profound outpouring of faith and obedience.

Carrying the Mission Forward Beyond GO Week

GO Week 2025 was more than a campus eventit was a glimpse of God’s Kingdom at work through His people. As the OKWU community carries this momentum forward, it continues to stand on the truth that the Gospel is for all people, here, there, and everywhere.
